Team of the Week – 12/02/15

Here’s Mike’s Team of the week for the midweek fixtures, game week 25. Enjoy!

Green ( QPR ) GK
He was in fine form and helped his side claim their first away win, the one save he pushed on to the bar was top class.

Can ( Liverpool ) Cb
A midfielder playing in a back three makes no sense but in the past couple of games he has been outstanding. He is strong, quick and can tackle and seems to have found regular game time at the back.
Ferdinand ( QPR ) Cb
The veteran defender has had a new lease of life since Harry has left and the performance showed class’s is permeant.
Koscielny ( Arsenal ) Cb
He is becoming Arsenal’s lead defender, good feet my say he lacks some pace but he popped up and scored with a clever finish.
Janmaat ( Newcastle ) Wb
He was up and down the flank all game. Sound in his defensive duties and also a great cross for the Newcastle goal.
Trippier ( Burnley ) Wb
Same as Janmaat up and down from your wing back is what you want and he also chipped in with an assist, gave his side such balance in a game Burnley should have got more out of.

Fletcher ( WBA ) Cm
It’s simple WBA and Tony Pulis are a great fit, throw Darren Fletcher into the mix as captain and you have the perfect Hat-trick.
Mahrez ( Leicester ) Cm
He pulled Arsenal all over the place and was a real positive, if the foxes are going to pick up points they need him playing on a regular basis.
Ozil ( Arsenal ) Cm
On his return he has scored three and did some assists and with Sanchez taking some of the spot light off him maybe we will see the form that made him one of the best players in the world.

N’Doye ( Hull ) Fw
He gave the Villa back line a torrid time, scored a decent goal and also won man of the match, not bad for your home debut.
Aguero ( Man City ) St
What more can be said about this little magician, when he is in this type of form he is unplayable, he had no right to score his first from that angle or distance but that’s why he is world class.
