Another week, another defeat. It’s seems the usual Villa fan trepidation before a game has firmly rooted itself in the heads of the players too. Even before the ref purses his lips to blow his whistle for kick off, the fans, the players, and Lambert know we are going to loose.
And it’s this defeatist attitude, lack of fight, and spinelessness that’s the real insult. More than relegation itself, it’s the manner that this is all unfolding which hurts the most.
Another defeat to a relegation rival is not going to help the teams confidence either.
